Barry started it all. Over roughly 22 years he’s built the firm into what it is today, and the part he’s proudest of is the team around him, a growing group of talented people who, in his words, impress him every single day. Behind the scenes, he’s the one who builds the framework for successful client engagements and representation, setting the foundation that everything else rests on. His promise to anyone walking through the door: an attorney who is genuinely responsive, doesn’t over-bill, cares deeply about their matter, and works diligently to achieve their goals.

Barry is based in Livingston, New Jersey.

Barry E. Janay is a distinguished professional holding a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate School of Law & Business School. Before this, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Communications, as well as a Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration, both from Rollins College.

Barry E. Janay holds prestigious legal bar admissions and is a member in multiple jurisdictions, including New York and New Jersey, as well as in federal courts such as the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District Court of New Jersey. Additionally, he is admitted to practice in bankruptcy courts in both New York and New Jersey. 

Behind The Scenes
When he’s not working, you’ll find him with his family, exercising, or flying airplanes, and yes, the fun fact checks out: he ran the 2018 Boston Marathon in 2 hours and 47 minutes. He’s currently obsessed with one thing above all, growing the practice, and he’ll happily tell you his comfort food of choice is fried chicken and mac and cheese.
